Peace Beyond Understanding

Peace Beyond Understanding

Psalm 4:8 NLT

8 In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.

The peace we can have through God, is a peace that drives out fear and surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

When you are experiencing a trial in life but can still lie down at night and sleep without worry, you have peace beyond understanding. That is the peace that comes from God; you only get it by putting all your faith in Him.

What problem will you give to the Lord today?

Worrying about something never changes the outcome. We are always looking for the worst to happen. We are there without God, and that’s bad.

What is something you are worried about right now?

We get rid of worry by trusting in the promises of God. Numbers 23:19 tells us that God does not lie, and He doesn’t change His mind. There are numerous promises from God in the Bible. In Psalm 34:18, we are told God is near, and He saves us. We have nothing to fear when the Lord is our light and salvation. He makes your enemy stumble and fall. They scratch their heads and wonder why their attacks are falling flat.

Write out your hopeful expectation and put your trust in God!

Let’s Pray

Lord, I trust in your protection. I know You are worthy of my praise and will never leave me alone in the fire. Please watch over me and those I love as we walk through the lives you have laid before us. Give us peace as we trust Your word, Lord. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
